Traveler | Cultural Explorer | Hiker
Hello! I’m Nu Ly, a Hmong traveler based in Sacramento, California. To me, life is a grand adventure best experienced through the sights, sounds, and flavors of the world.

My Roots & My Home
Being Hmong is a core part of my identity and shapes the way I connect with the world. While Sacramento is my home base, I have spent years exploring every corner of California. From the hidden gems of our local cities to the vast wilderness of the Sierras, I’ve made it my mission to see everything the Golden State has to offer.

Nature & The Great Outdoors
I am a nature lover at heart. My favorite days are spent outside, whether I am:
Hiking: Reaching new summits and discovering hidden trails.
Chasing Blooms: I have a passion for visiting vibrant flower fields and capturing the beauty of nature in full color.
National Parks: I am a frequent visitor to our National Parks, where I find peace in the protected landscapes of the wild.

Global Flavors & Cultures
For me, traveling is about more than just seeing landmarks; it’s about immersion. I travel to dive into new cultures and broaden my perspective. Most importantly, I am a huge fan of trying different foods. I believe the best way to understand a culture is through its kitchen—whether it’s street food in a bustling market or a traditional family meal.

My Passport Stamps
My curiosity has taken me across the globe. I’ve been fortunate enough to explore:
Asia: China, Laos, Thailand, India, and Singapore.
The Tropics: The Maldives and Hawaii.
North America: Canada and Mexico.

The Journey Ahead
I’ve seen a lot of the world, but I’m just getting started. I plan to keep traveling, keep tasting new cuisines, and keep exploring the unknown. There is always a new culture to learn about and a new trail to hike—and I can’t wait to find them.
